Ask and Scope

Harvard Medical School has an annual 4-week seminar entitled Cape Cod Summer Seminars. After their 28th annual seminar, they wanted to convert their basic HTML website to a more robust and responsive site. Their hope was to marry the paper brochure into a responsive website that’s easy to navigate and that catered to an older crowd and offers easy registration.

I worked with the Course Director to create a searchable responsive registration experience with a intuitive user flow.

Platform

Design Role

Features

  • Responsive

Outcome

I created a registration experience for recurring attendees and also create something to attract new attendees.

This resulted in a huge success with enrollment significantly increased.

The client requested a website to make registration more accessible to potential participants of their courses. The University offered this department a simple HTML site but they wanted something more robust and responsive. In its 28th year of seminars, this was the first year the site was overhauled. A huge success resulted and enrollment went up significantly. In addition to creating a site that aligned with their brand, they asked for the creative team to incorporate video, which the creative director recorded and supplied to me for the home page. For their 30th annual site, the course director asked me to incorporate Google Ad Words with a $400 monthly budget. Since 2017, registration and engagement have increased three-fold.
